It all means the same thing. In any of life’s worthwhile pursuits, you’re going to have to learn how to take a hit in order to climb up that “ladder”. You’ll need to get knocked down a few times before you can truly stand on your own.
I firmly believe, it’s when we are down on the ground where we truly find our ‘mettle’. We find our worth. We find out what we are made of.
You figure out in that ‘low’ moment just how bad you want the end goal. How important is that pursuit? How bad to you really want it? What are you willing to go through to get it?
Ask any successful person. Ask anyone who finds themselves on the winning side of a battle. They’ve fallen – figuratively and/or literally flat on their face.
It’s when we were down on the ground that we develop, hone and sharpen our trouble-shooting skills. We learn to navigate through the bad in order to get to the good. Our coping mechanisms are born.
The bleeding will come in many forms. Not only can and could it be actual blood, but at the very least it will be sweat, tears, emotional drain, physical pain and maybe even heart break.
“A diamond is a chunk of coal that is made good under pressure.”
In order to truly succeed, you’re going to have to bleed….
